Osteopathy is a holistic, manual therapy that uses gentle manipulations to restore proper alignment of the body’s structure so that it may function as nature intended. The body has an innate ability to self-heal and self-regulate, and it does so when the nerves, arteries, veins and lymph are free to flow and are unobstructed. When our bodies become misaligned from poor posture, injuries, or even aging, VECTORS of force pass through the tissues of the body and interfere with these vital fluids & structures. These vectors travel through the fascia, the muscles, the organs, and the bones to pull your body out of its symmetrical alignment and cause dysfunction. My job as an osteopathic manual practitioner is to work with all joints and tissues of the body to help reestablish its symmetry. Through treatment, structural dysfunctions are corrected to improve flexibility and movement of the spine and limbs to relieve obstruction to nerve and blood vessels which may inhibit the body’s natural ability to heal. There are a variety of conditions which can benefit from Osteopathy, some of which are:
* Low Back Pain, Sciatic Pain
* Neck Pain, Headaches/Migraines, TMJD
* Shoulder, Hip and Extremity Pain
* Sprains/Strains
* Respiratory and Digestive Disorders
* Circulatory Issues
* Skin Disorders
* Arthritis, Sinusitis
* Postural Imbalances, Vertigo
